We believe storytelling is both an art and an instinct. Arboreal Press was born from a desire to shape narratives and visual experiences without compromise.
By embracing self-publishing, we preserve creative control and uphold the values that matter to us: authenticity, craftsmanship, and a deep love of story…told through words, images, and design.
Meet the Founder
Skip Dyrda’s creative roots stretch from Southeastern Pennsylvania to sunny Sarasota, Florida. After racing cars and building them by hand, he shifted gears toward art…from digital graphics on Commodore Amigas to decades of mural work and decorative painting. His love of Trompe L’oeil and storytelling through sculpture led to a new chapter: creating illustrated gnome tales and founding Arboreal Press.
Skip’s journey is a blend of adventure, whimsy, and hard-earned skill. Today, he publishes imaginative books, designs compelling layouts, and helps clients bring their visions to life… all from a studio where clay gnomes may wander past paintbrushes, and every creative spark is welcome.

What We Create
Arboreal Press designs and publishes books that are as visually engaging as they are meaningful.
